Appointment and Training of Training Incumbents
The role of training incumbent is vital to the success of a curacy. So it is important that selection of training incumbents is careful, and they receive good training and support.
The national Continuing Ministerial Development panel has produced a report on good practice to encourage this – first issued in 2014 and lightly revised in 2017.
Accompanying this are some examples of programmes and policies (with thanks to those who produced them). These represent one way in which you might achieve their goals.
Finally there is a piece to provoke thought about how the training of curates might be re-imagined for the future.
